Are you celebrating something that calls for fireworks?

Avoid the real explosives and have fun tracing these paper fireworks with glow-in-the-dark glue.

Simply print out the PDF of your choosing and have fun tracing the fireworks with glue.

Materials

Printable: There are two options the black printable with white lines or the white printable with black printed lines.

Glue: For maximum fun use glow-in-the-dark glue. Colored glue and glitter glue are fun options as well.

Optional: Instead of coloring the fireworks by tracing with glue, use crayons or colored pencils instead.

Steps

Decide which printable you want to use. The black background is more dramatic, but it uses a lot of printer ink.
Download and print the free printables (found in our Free Resource Library—accessible when you subscribe below).
Trace the fireworks with colored glue of your choice. (see note below)
Let dry
Print the multi-firework PDF and have more fun decorating paper fireworks.

Note

If your artists aren’t strong enough to squeeze the bottle of glue as a way of tracing the firework printable, give them some glue in a disposable container. They can spread this with a popsicle stick. It won’t give them precise results, but they’ll have fun with the process of making their own paper fireworks.
